I saw a reunited Jimmy Castor Bunch a few years ago for free at Marcus Garvey Park in Harlem. The crowd was a mix of middle aged African-Americans and what looked like a tour group of European backpackers.

The older folks were enjoying the whole concert, singing along and whatnot. The Euro-kids just looked bored throughout. 

UNTIL- They played “It’s Just Begun” as an encore. Then all the Euro-kids ran to the front and started breakdancing. They were kicking moves I haven’t seen since the mid-80’s. Then after the song was over, they all left in an orderly line.

It was surreal.
